Captain Steve Perry began his law enforcement career in 1997 with the Glenn Heights Police Department. During his tenure with the City of Glenn Heights Captain Perry held assignments in patrol, and criminal investigations prior to being promoted to Patrol Sergeant. Lieutenant Perry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with the Glenn Heights Police Department in 2006 where he was responsible for daily operations. Captain Perry has a vast array of experience and training in patrol operations, criminal investigations, training, and development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Captain Perry graduated from Red Oak High School in 1987 and has numerous training hours in police operations, investigations, and law enforcement management.

Captain Perry has received special acknowledgements from the Dallas County District Attorneys Office for his diligent work in numerous criminal cases, and from the City of Glenn Heights as Police Officer of the year in 1998, 1999, and 2000, and Employee of the year in 2002.
